  HOUSEKEEPER     JOB DESCRIPTION         Reports To: SERVICE MANAGER The purpose of this job description is to communicate the responsibilities and duties associated with the position of HOUSEKEEPER. Working together as a team encourages superior performance through open communication and decision empowerment.   It is imperative that you review these duties, skills and physical requirements closely and that you understand that by signing the Job Description Acknowledgement, you are verifying that you can perform all the duties, have the skills and possess the physical abilities that are necessary to perform the job as described.   JOB SUMMARY   The primary responsibilities of the HOUSEKEEPER involve the upkeep of each apartment and common areas in order to enhance and maintain the property’s appeal. The HOUSEKEEPER will also assist the rest of the service staff, as directed, in their efforts to manage the property in an efficient manner.   WAGE/HOUR STATUS   Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   Cleans all vacant apartments: o Cleans ovens, refrigerators, range hoods, drawers, cupboards, sinks, garbage disposals, light shades and globes, windows, blinds, hot water heaters, window tracks, thermostat covers, outlet covers, doors, floors, counter tops, bath tubs, shower rods, toilets, medicine cabinets, vents, towel bars, patios, balconies, mirrors, pool furniture, washers, and dryers. Vacuums air conditioner closets and carpets. Mops floors. Cleans the office, clubhouse, and restrooms on a daily basis (prior to 9 m.). Cleans and maintains model apartments on a daily Cleans and maintains laundry facilities, fitness center, and any other amenity area daily by 10:00 m. Sweeps entrance areas, patios, balconies, outer office areas, and Removes and disposes of trash from inside apartments and Cleans common areas and removes Stocks toilet paper, tissues, soap, and towels in Inventories cleaning Replaces light Removes stickers and decals from Raises and lowers flags daily. Inspects flags to ensure they are in good repair and Places flyers and notices on doors as directed by Performs all work with the residents’ satisfaction in mind, with a goal to ensure scores on resident satisfaction surveys above the industry index on move-ins and pre-renewal surveys.       Maintains awareness of property safety precautions at all times. Promotes You Matter culture of the company, ensuring that all personnel are aware of the importance of extending this philosophy to each other, the vendors and the residents. Becomes familiar with the company’s strategic goals each year, striving to accomplish the goals at the site level. Strives for superior customer service in all areas, including customer service within the company as well as outside the company with residents and vendors. Performs additional duties requested by the Service Manager or Property   QUALIFICATIONS   Must meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Equipment Requirement: Mops,  brooms,  vacuum  cleaner,  window  squeegee,  scrubber,  step  stool,  small  ladder, screwdriver, and other miscellaneous hand tools. Is required to wear gloves as tasks dictate. Work Hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week, as assigned by the manager, Monday through Friday.   Weekly schedule may change as required. May be necessary to work weekends.
