Bookkeeper

Accountable for assisting the Operations Manager and Co-Manager/Leasing Director in effectively managing the assigned property. The Bookkeeper is directly responsible for maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly reports including accurate reporting of rents and deposits received. RESPONSIBILITIES: All aspects of income collection including posting all monies received, bank deposits, preparing documentation regarding evictions, returned checks and balances owed, and applying late fees, damages and utility billings. Prepare SODA’s, evictions and Notices of Violations. Perform month-end closeout. Update move-ins and move-outs; enter notices to vacate, transfers, lease renewals and new leases into computer system. Organize and keep up-to-date files of reports, leases and paperwork. Participate fully in all leasing, marketing and resident relations activities. QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years of bookkeeping experience preferably in the Apartment Industry 1 year of on-site industry experience Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry and Yardi or comparable property management software Positive customer service attitude Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail Good communication and interpersonal skills
